Frequently Asked Questions

What steel do you use to make your putters?

I make my putters from 303 stainless steel or 1018 carbon steel. The choice is yours. Do you want to know which is best? Visit this page and maybe it will help you decide.

How do I care for my putter?

If you select 1018 carbon steel for you material of choice, you will need to do minor maintenance in order to prevent rusting. This is really easy though. I suggest 'Putter Butter'. All you have to do is give your putter a quick spray down and wipe it with a cloth after each use.

However, some like the way their putters look with a little rust or patina. If that's you, then no need to wipe your carbon steel putter down. It won't take a long and your putter will have a nice rust appear which gives a nice classic look!

If you choose stainless steel for your putter, you won't need to do anything more to maintain it other than clean it from time to time. Stainless is very durable and very resistant to rusting.

Most of your pictures are only putter heads. Do you install the shaft and grip?

Absolutely! The putter is a complete putter and ready for the course. It includes a stepless chrome shaft, grip, and headcover. If you have a specific shaft or grip you'd like to use, I can do that for you if you're willing to cover the additional cost. Or, if you'd prefer to only receive the head so you can install your own shaft and grip, I have no problem with that either.

What Custom Options do you offer?

Check out 'Custom Putter Order Form' page if you're looking for a custom putter. This will show you many of the options I offer and also give you an idea on the price.

If you have any questions, please message me from the 'contact us' page or on Instagram. I'd be happy to hear about what you're looking for. Do you require a down payment

Once your design has been agreed upon, I request a $100 down payment. This will get you in the books and allow me to give a fairly good estimate of when your putter should be finished and heading your way.

Do you accept returns?

Absolutely. If you are not satisfied with your putter, I will accept a return.

If there was an error made by me, I'll cover the return shipping and give you a full refund or work out a solution that you are 100% happy with, such as remake your product. I only ask that you notify me of your concern within a week or two of receiving the product.

If you simply aren't happy with the way it turned out, I'll still accept the return. However, I ask that you cover the shipping costs and there will be a $100 restocking fee deducted from your refund. I have been making putters for several years and have never had anyone ask about a return.

Please know, I strive to satisfy every customer i work with and will do whatever I can to ensure that you love your Royal Payne products. Happy customers are why I'm able to keep doing what I do!

Which countries do you ship to?

I will ship anywhere in the world! You just need to pay the shipping costs and be sure any taxes are paid that need to be paid in your country.
